Healthcare brands in AI era

Healthcare brands

Why the future of healthcare brands isn’t in the molecule

There’s a quiet shift happening in healthcare, and the Oli project we built for Galenika sits right at the center of it.

For years, a pharmaceutical brand’s value lived in one place: the molecule. The better the drug, the stronger the brand. But the new generation of GLP-1 weight-loss treatments has exposed the limit of that thinking. The molecules work extraordinarily well — so well that they’re becoming interchangeable in the eyes of patients. When every treatment promises the same outcome, the product alone stops being a differentiator.

And there’s a deeper problem. These treatments work only if people stay on them. The journey is rarely linear: nausea, fatigue, loss of muscle, the slow erosion of motivation. Every patient who stops isn’t just a health outcome lost — it’s the brand relationship ending. The medicine was never the hard part. Staying with it was.

That’s the problem Galenika asked us to solve. And it’s why we didn’t start with technology.

From “how you look” to “how you feel”

The cultural shift came first. Together with Galenika, we moved the conversation away from appearance and toward everyday wellbeing — from “how you look” to “how you feel.” Out of that came the idea of functional health, built on four pillars: physical resistance, muscle and bone strength, digestive comfort, and energy. Health framed as something sustainable, not a temporary result.

From there, the pieces followed with purpose. A line of supplements — Oli-Nex, Oli-Lax, Oli-Muscle Protect — designed to meet patients exactly at their points of fragility. A visual identity, the “ribbon of change,” built to express movement and continuous support across every touchpoint. And a system of three protections: the pharmacist as advisor, the point of sale, and an AI companion available 24/7 to support patients in the moments that quietly decide whether they continue or quit.

AI in service of the human

This is where our philosophy shows up: not just AI for automation, but AI for reinvention. The AI companion isn’t there to cut costs or replace a human conversation. It’s there at 2am, when doubt creeps in and there’s no one else to ask. It extends the relationship rather than substituting for it.

That’s the real lesson of Oli, and the reason we think it points to where healthcare is heading. Competitive advantage no longer comes from the product alone, but from the system of support built around it. Galenika isn’t just making a treatment — it’s orchestrating a continuous health journey. The technology doesn’t replace the human relationship. It keeps it close, every single day.
